About Us

The Bagdad Fire Protection District is a rural all volunteer fire department which covers 58 square miles in Northeast Shelby County. The communities of Bagdad, Jacksonville, Christianburg, Hatton, Cropper and Elmburg are all covered under our district. Our district is populated by approximately 2,500 people. Bagdad Fire Protection District is one of six volunteer fire departments that make up Shelby County Fire Service.
